Serbia Wins Six Medals at the Paris Paralympics

Belgrade - Serbia won six medals at the Paralympic Games in Paris: one gold, three silver, and two bronze. The gold medal was won by Dragan Ristić in para shooting. Silver medals were won by Nebojša Đurić in para athletics, in the shot put, and Borislava Perić Ranković in para table tennis in singles, as well as in doubles with Nada Matić. Bronze medals were won by Željko Dimitrijević in para athletics, in the discus throw, and Mitar Palikuka in para table tennis in singles.

The President of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, hosted a ceremonial reception at the Presidency of Serbia for our Olympians, stating that they have made us proud and that every medal carries a story of unbreakable faith. The Government of the Republic of Serbia has decided that the Paralympians who brought medals to our country will be rewarded like Olympians, with 200,000 Euro for gold, 100,000 Euro for silver, and 60,000 Euro for bronze.

The Paralympic Games in Paris were held from August 28 to September 8, 2024. At the closing of the games at the Stade de France, the Serbian flag was carried by para athlete Nebojša Đurić and para taekwondo athlete Marija Mićević. The next Paralympic Games will be held in Los Angeles in 2028.
